(English)
Perhaps these are nothing more than a few lines I wrote so that, if one day I die, at least someone will know my name.
My name is Astrid. I am writing this at the age of seventeen.
When I was little, like every child, I was a small girl who dreamed of becoming a princess. And I must not forget my brother. Louis is a good boy. He is the only person I am still related to by blood, and the only one I have left alive.
As for how we ended up here… we lived in a small house in Duskmarch. Things were good, until one day a group of raiders knocked on our door.
My brother and I were left on the streets. A man came to us, saying he would take care of us, and took us under his protection. But that disgusting bastard… what he did to me, to my brother, and what he forced us to do…
My chest still aches because of it.
Of course, we couldn’t endure it forever. During the last theft he sent me on, I got into a fight with a man. I won, even though I was injured, but after that, he was after me.
My brother and I tried to run away. We ran with everything we had. When we finally collapsed from exhaustion, thinking this was the end… Vincentious appeared. He wounded those men and saved us.
We are still friends. He helps us in times like these.
And now, I am here.
